The Global Girlhoods Symposium is sponsored by the Human Rights in Transit and Transnational Black Citizenship Discovery Themes. The symposium will consist of two roundtables: "Black Girlhoods" and "Trafficking Girlhoods," in addition to two keynote addresses:

  • Dr. Abosede George, "Theorizing #BringBackOurGirls within Nigerian Feminist Histories"
  • J.D. Jasmine Phillips Sankofa, "Black Girls and the (Im)possibility of the Victim Trope"
