Benafsha Faizy holds a PhD and a master's degree from Ohio University, with research focused on transitional justice, political systems, crisis communication, and development studies. As a Communications Specialist at IDEA, she leads projects that bring together public engagement, storytelling, and democratic innovation. She brings more than a decade of experience across media, law, and international development, with prior roles at UNDP, UNESCO, USAID-funded programs, and Lapis Communications, the strategic communications agency of Moby Group.

Her work centers on justice, migration, gender equity, and civic participation in post-conflict and fragile settings. Fluent in Persian, Urdu, and English, she draws on multilingual storytelling and research to elevate underrepresented voices, foster dialogue, and advance accountable governance.
